Please select one person to do all the measurements. Preferably it will be a knowledgeable adult. We recommend that you do not allow students to measure each other. Do not use measurements the actors give you verbally. Have performer remove bulky sweaters, etc. Measurements: Chest or bust: Largest part. Waist: Around natural waistline—this is somewhat higher than the contemporary clothes suggest. Hip: Largest part of the hip area. Outseam: Natural waistline to floor (without shoes) Neck: Circumference at base of neck Sleeve: From top of shoulder (where shirt seam would naturally be) to wrist (where cuff should end,) with arm relaxed and straight down. Shoulder to Shoulder: On back, shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Hat: Circumference of head across forehead where hat would rest.
